Artist and Background
Klaus L. Meyer
Far beyond any balance of forces in nature, there appears something new
that has possibly never been in existence before, out of a process of self-organisation, seemingly chaotic.
Only the beginning of the way towards balance, to the maximum entropy, where no longer can arise anything,
shows the ability of the creation power of the elements.
The most striking aspect of Klaus Meyer's work is, above all, his intellectual approach.
It is the intriguing
tense area between chaos and order that fascinates him.
Nature, with its manifold structures and permanent changes, demonstrates the continuous
interaction between chaos and order in its great variety of shapes.
This is also reflected in the transformation of his subject, which has induced him
to abandon the graphic art forms and places his paintings beyond mere illustrations.
His choice of colours, together with the powerful aesthetic appearances and forms,
succeed in creating a pictorial area of highly inspired and inspiring tension.
In his abstract works, Klaus L. Meyer intentionally abstains from giving any special title to
his paintings so that the creative element of his theme "Interaction between Chaos and Order"
can be taken in by the beholder as freely as possible.
